Margo asked me to draw on some of my reference/research skills to locate a poem for her. I did. Great work hey?

But seriously, I feel that I should share this with the wider A2K community as it is an Australian poem and speaks to all of us Aussies. It tells of a wide, flat brown land filled with venomous brown snakes that can't easily be spotted. It also relates a story that is timeless, that reaches back to the Dreamtime of the Rainbow Serpent and yet startles us like a goddam huge King Brown lunging up from the grass to bite its victim, leaving them to die a horrible (but distinctly Australian) death as their blood clots and the heart fails.
