Pffft! It's not logic kicky, it's veracity. Only deduction goin' on here was about whether the dudette has a penis.

Americans tend to think our preferences in beauty are based in nature which is only partly true. Other cultures see our different tastes and note that there is cultural differences but from what most Americans say you'd think it were an inherently human thing.

Individual (I think) tried to equate it with a biological breast-feeding thing. Coincidentally he happened on what many idiotic shrinks say is the reason for the "North American" obsession with boobs: reduction in breast feeding.

I think it's complete bull but many shrinks say it. I found a page with a quote:

http://www.007b.com/breast_obsession.php

It's got a lot of junk there, but I'm just trying to show that this is a cultural thing and not an inherently human thing.

I know, because my own tastes changed depending on the degree to which I was immured in different cultures. Until I went to Brazil I never much cared about butts, now I do. I picked that up from Brazil. I simply see butts that used to be perfectly acceptable to me in the past and think they are... butt-ugly.

Anywho, I'm gonna try to stop spoiling the fun with... gasp.... knowledge exchange (hey, it's fun for me) but here are some more references:

Short History of breasts - I just skimmed this but everything I read was spot-on. It covered the fact that it's a recent phenomenon and a cultural thing:

Quote:
It is also worth noting that American attitudes about the sexuality of breasts are hardly universal and may even represent a minority viewpoint in the larger worldly view.

Book: Breasts: The Women's Perspective on an American Obsession

An art show about the american obsession with breasts

Incidentally, it's damn hillarious (and feekin' typical of American culture) that we both have an obsession with breasts and hang ups and taboos about baring them.

Ok, here's some fun, While looking for the idiot shrink quote I found this:

"Normal breasts" gallery. Now, I don't care too much about the actual point of the page, that idealized breasts and such are so abnormal and all, hell it's not like the porn industry is out to portray realisting peni either. I don't care about that.

But some are interesting. My favorite set are the ones on the bottom in the middle. Kicky tells me his favorite is 5 down and on the left.

You insensitive louts.

She's just trying to sneak a poodle on the bus! I do it all the time, and get all kinds of stares, even though I am a man, and my adam's apple is as big as a...poodle.

Even if those were her boobs, if she for some reason put great effort into going home with me, and I didn't have to put the work into approaching her at a bar and talking to her, and I didn't have a girlfriend, let me make that clear, hell yeah I would sleep with her.

It's not my ideal, the size of her implants suggests she probably spends a lot of time coloring and eating Legos. But she wouldn't be terrible for meaningless sex, which by the looks of her just might be on her agenda. You don't want to have a one night stand with a girl you're going to fall in love with.

This is not girlfriend material.

Warning: cut air holes in your shirt so that the poodle can breathe, so that it does not suffocate to death on your way to the local blood bank.

Gargamel is right, as usual. She is not girlfriend material, but who said anything about wanting her as a girlfriend? Dinner, wine, a slap and tickle, and then "here's some cab fare. That was fun, but you have to leave now," that's what we're talking about. And women think that men objectify them. Pfft, as long as they have cab fare, nobody can accuse you of being an arsehole.

Come on, if you are in your twenties, single? She's all over you?

Don't lie.

Or does chivalry still exist? Without repression?

Funny though the mention of her maybe being transsexual. I do understand the confusion.

There are loads of sorority girls in the town I live in right now, and they often look transsexual, in a certain way. They, like transsexuals, put a lot of effort into looking "female." Tanning beds, highlights, shitloads of makeup, jewelry. Fake. All the work gives them that resemblance.

And all the fratboys that go for them...hmmmm, questionable.

And do I still stand by my most recent post? Would I have sex with one of these girls if I were single and she was all over me and I wouldn't have to work for it.

Yes I do.

Does this mean I like transsexuals?

Something to ask my therapist who, I think, wears a fake mustache and cosmetic glasses.

Cav, that's right. When I put that picture up, did I ask "Would you marry this girl?"

No. All I asked was "How hot is this girl?".

And honestly, I thought the fake boobs would be mentioned, but the hotness of the girl in this picture is overall hotness. Look at that skin, that face, the teasing way she's lifting her shirt, the flat stomach, the sexy eyes . . . there's so much more to her hotness than just a big set of lung-puppies.

Scarlett Johanson.

Now there is the natural beauty I truly idealize. That is, if we are talking about Hollywood.

You like that, Cav? I think I made that one up myself. I've never heard anyone else use it before. Maybe I've coined a new term!

To all and sundry,

I have found this thread highly enlightening.
It appears that males who do not find huge breasts to be the epitome of female beauty are told that they are women. While I do not find this insulting, others may. Why, are female humans lesser beings than male humans? Silly me, I had thought sexist remarks like these were a thing of the past.
From the picture I can not determine the genetically programed sex of the person depicted. Any attempts at doing so are conjecture, nothing more, nothing less.
The post referring to my partners, "plastic ass" is most interesting. Was this phrase meant to be an insult? Was it an attempt to point out the plastic/electronic personas presented in this form? Was the poster using the word plastic to mean malleable? Individual, you alone can tell me what you meant by, "plastic ass", would you please do so.
This thread has shown me a side of some a2k members that I do not find at all attractive or amusing.

Sam
