Of course there is up and down, in and out, to and fro, left and right, for and against, in and out, but are there other opposites yet to be discovered?

Yes and No.
True, but that one is already generally accepted, I was looking for opposites that are yet to be discovered.

That doesn't make any sense.
@contrex,
Don't say that.....I've spent the last half an hour searching down the back of the couch.
@Rickoshay75,
According to the
structuralism implied by your question ....
Quote:Binary opposition is an important concept of structuralism, which sees such distinctions as fundamental to all language and thought. In structuralism, a binary opposition is seen as a fundamental organizer of human philosophy, culture, and language.
The opposite of cheese turns out to be finding a chicken in the back of a Reliant Robin.
Children often think that everything must have an "opposite", e.g. cats
/dogs, rain/sunshine, black/white, etc.
Is there an opposite to everything we know?
Hawkeye10, BillRM, Orally.........
need i go on?

The opposite of in and out twice might be doubly unlucky with twins once.
If non verbal nouns don't have antonyms then the question and answer could be blue.
Is there an opposite to mauve?
@FBM,
Don't worry too much about it. A lot of people get lost round Guildford.
@ekename,
mauve is just pink trying to look purple
@Lustig Andrei,
Is that the same question as Is there an opposite of the color grey?
I sense that everything is what it is. The ideas for some "things" have opposites or complements because language is dualistic. For example "up" only makes sense because of "down" (same with "in" and "out"), but in outer space there is no up and down except in relation to a reference point like a space ship.
.
@JLNobody,
Opposite of the color grey would probably be subjective to the individual based on perception.
@cicerone imposter,
Sounds right to me (subjectively speaking, that is).
