thru a fire

((hahaha so you have noticed too about england eh well its their own karma..ive had to live here for the last 30 years on and off and im just praying for the day i can emigrate to somewhere warm....
im actually planning to set up a property company in mendoza in argentina... you can get appartments for like 10,000 pounds there they are 100,000 here and i can then rent them out to rich americans and make a big profit Smile
for instance my house here that i own is worth 20 houses there
im thinking of selling this house here buying as many houses as possible in mendoza city, living in one and renting the rest out with the help of my argentine friends...
hmm im not sure what my favourite part of greece is..i like the ancient ruins bits, i think the islands are best although i dont have a favourite really... i love sea sand and fresh air...mmm...
no ive no itinerary, i just take things as they come, the last two years i made plans and they all fell apart when i got there...
so no more planning for me just going with a suitcase a pocket full of money and an open mind Smile ))

with nothing on

(( oh and secondly i know a good bit of greek and they told me in argentina while i was there that greek is very close to spanish in the verb structure so if you can speak spanish which i guess you can if you lived in arg then i think you wont find picking up greek too difficult.the alphabet and funny letters are easy to work out once you get used to it.. i tried learning hebrew too recently although i found it very difficult and thus i only did a couple of lessons and id say the two (greek and hebrew) are similar als.. the only problem i have is that the greeks all speak english when they are with me))

Yes... I used to live in Warwick; I tutored kids with their languages at Warwick University... Coventry is possibly the worst place for that sort of morale. The time that I have spent away from this country has been the most interesting and most fruitful.

I think that you should definitely go for moving to Argentina; especially since you hate here. Are you planning on moving soon? What are the visa/resident requirements like?

I love being right by the sea, but I prefer to be there when its raining. I have unusual tastes, in that way. I travel the same way that you do. I never go in with a plan, as it's restrictive. My perfect holiday would be going around everywhere by train for about six years.

I do speak Spanish, quite fluently, as I started to learn it quite long ago-- fifteen years ago, when I was a very young girl. Greek is far harder, I thought, because it has declensions, doesn't it? If you want to practise your Greek, you should tell them so!

stand and stare

((far out:) im more of a scientist myself im really into spirituality too and love space the universe and studying how everything is connected Smile
im into meditating and hgher energies and ive done a bit of spiritual healing too...my language skills are very poor not because its difficult but because im very lazy and most people speak english i speak a bit of french spanish and greek but i am far from fluent but can understand a fair amount and can kind of make myself understood if i need to...ive had a rather easy life ive had most things handed to me on a plate ive never really worked in the strict sense of the word....a few months here and there... ive done the odd job.....
i live in a very big house which i own through inheritance and i also rent out the other rooms in the house to friends so i get a decent amount a week off of this...i also do the odd computer work fixing pcs when i can be bothered...
so i mostly save up my money from this rent till i have enough then i go for a quick adventure until all the cash is gone then i return and do the same thing again

as for argentina i can stay 3 months a time but as long as i leave the country for a week or so every three months by going to chile or uruguay then i can stay there indefinately
however i dont really want to live there i have this plan to spend three months a year there when its winter in the northern hemisphere
its so cheap to live there now especially after the economic crash
i want to set up a business there so it provides for me while im there

i plan to go back to arg this winter but maybe ill go to thailand instead it all depends on how things go in the next few month ive a few business things going on and if they come off ill make a lot of money so then ill go ahead with the property idea but if not i think ill go to thailand and do 2 months tai chi

im also into the idea of going to asia and theres a special school in thailand where i want to learn tai chi to mastery and then maybe teach others but i dont know yet

my life is an open book at the moment and i like it that way

i like your train idea Smile i have a similar dream of travelling the earth and seeing everywhere but im not sure how id like to do it ))

Your life seems very interesting, Col man! Will you be online when you are away? You should write a travellog, to share with us! I always preferred languages and literature to everything else- and History and Law, too. Basically, I liked subjects in which one could argue.

I could never go to another country without being able to speak enough of the language so as that I could express myself randomly. I don't like relying on English; I find the attitude that everyone can/should speak English rather short.

Can one get back-to-back visas like that? I never thought that it were possible. I'll remember that the next time that I am travelling. Have you been to Thailand before? The tai chi idea sounds interesting; have you done any before?

I like your plan for life; one should life it day by day, but seize each day. Anyway, I hope that your business projects come off well.

fuel on the

(well to me your life seems interesting too D! Very Happy going to all these places doing your bit for literature and language... Smile
hmm im not into arguing at all Sad
i dont mind like minded discussion and disagreement but all this
im right! no your wrong im right! stuff is a bit too much for me..all these debating and stuff yuk Razz i dont care whose right as long as people care about each other and would stop all this hating and madness and wars Rolling Eyes
give me a simple 2+2=4 answer anyday Smile
like war is bad and love is good..end of story for me Smile

hmm i know what you mean about the language thing, when i was in arg i went to learn castellano on purpose for this very reason i only studied for 7 weeks but after about 4 wks i could speak sentences and say what id done yesterday and simple things like ordering fruit n veg from the greengrocer
enough to get by anyway

and yes you can get back to back visas...it is possible
no ive never been to thailand or asia before i went to argentina id never been out of europe!
ive been doing tai chi on and off for 14 years but due to me being super lazy im still in the beginners class!!!while people whove been doing it half this time i have are now like black belts...i did karate for a few months too but i really dont like all this violence material stuff im into finer energies
thats why i like tai chi because it works with 'chi' which is like the bodies cosmic energy...you know 7 chakras, spiritual energy fields and all that stuff
ive had out of body experiences too and i know a lot of people into this sort of thing Wink
i spend time at a tibetan buddhist monastery in scotland of all places Wink
i know a lot about freemasonry, scientology, esoteric practices... stuff i cant say and a whole lot more about.....
the energy and conciousness that makes life what it is..
what i see is that we are all connected by a group mind and that life is that mind and that we are it and the more you know the more you become it....

Thanks; well, I hate routine, so I try to get around it. As for arguing, I don't like the exchange of hate for hate, unshifting; I more prefer debating about things, you know? But, like-minded discussion is the more enjoyable. I agree with you about war. The US should learn a little from Sigfried Sasoon and Wilfred Owen, already. Doomed youth. What I dislike is how children are being forced into the army because that's the only job that they can get. If I ever got into power, I would make a lot of changes.

I will certainly try the back-to-back visa thing, when I am travelling next. Why would you not like to live in Argentina year-round? Where would you stay, do you think, when you are not there? I did karate for a while, but found myself pummeled by butcher women; my arms are very scrawny, you see. Tai chi sounds interesting; I once had a friend who tried to get me to practice it with him, but I did not have enough time to try it, back then. How does one improve?

How many out-of-body experiences have you had? How have they felt? -- and there are tibetan monasteries in Scotland?! What were you doing there; contemplation?

was the fact

i dont like routine either..it drives me mad..like my habits used to but ive changed most of them now...
i know what you mean about the difference between hate 4 hate and debate, life is diverse and so are people so there has to be difference and disagreement
i am a great believer in karma
ie you reap what you sow and i think if the US continues to abuse its position like it is doing it is sure to fall, especially with this taiwan china thing.
i think the US will bite off more than they can chew here and that will be their doom
the world economy is more fragile than people think and it wont take much to topple it
is the same in most countries to some degree, the kids who are poor and not so intelligent get to be in the army and the police
i went to a fairly posh school called a grammar school where a lot of rich kids were and the dumbest rich kids got to be officers in the army
my dear you dont want to be in power i think that being in that position makes you a bad person ive seen a lot of people belive that thru politics they can change the world but i saw once they were in the system they soon became just another devil
i think the only way we can change the world is through the people
that is getting people to care more and to think on ever increasing levels like global levels for instance and not just be identified with their nationality and colour
and look at it this way : the only way humans ever learn seems to be through suffering
ie after the first and second world wars every won was so upset and traumatised that they all wanted peace and thats the only reason we got a united europe
there are places here and i seen worse in argentina where people have no hope of a future at all... everybody men women and the kids are on herion and other drugs they all live full of hate at the world
its saddening
also there are many homeless people here so poor no one will give them a job theyll never get a chance to be anything or anybody
and thats not even considering the millions of starving people round the world who dont have anything at all
the planets a total mess in my eyes and it makes me crazy to think there are all these rich people spending millions whil the rest starve and die

continued soon .....

as for the visa thing i cant say for every country but it deifinately works in arg as long as you leave for a few days every few mths like i said
i head you can do it in other countries to i know people who went to thailand who nip over the border to burma for a day or two then go back with a new three month visa
i wouldnt like to live anywhere all year round because id get bored
i like change and travvelling
ive never been able to settle
i plan to say spend 3-6 months in south america 3 months in asia and the rest in europe and kind of repeat every year
thats why im trying to set up these businesses here and there to fund this
if i can have my house here earning me money and have a few houses in argentina earning me money and maybe the same in thailand say then hopefully this will free me to travel
this is my plan anyway

the one i did was called the li family system and it was tai chi combined with qi gong and taoist massage taoist diet and a kind of kung fu
but what i want to study is a system by a guy called mantak chia this is his website

http://www.universal-tao.com/

you improve in tai chi by focusing and growing you chi energy which is like i said an invisible force energy that is part of you
there are all sorts of excersises you do
some information is on the website above

and yes there is a tibetan monastery in scotland ...only one but it was the first in the west and it is the biggest in the west
i go there to pray, chant mantras, absorb spiritual energy and to do courses in buddhism.

they also have a website
http://www.samyeling.org/

it is a very spiritual place and it is an interfaith monastery so you get christian priests, taoists, jewish rabbis, muslim imams and hindu yogis
turning up too and giving talks on various spiritual and religious topics...
check the site out to learn more Wink

as for my out of body and other spiritual experiences...
ive had two out of body experiences
several instnces of telepathy
several times ive been able to heal people of things like headaches stomach aches and pains in parts of their body
the out of body experiences were a little stange and they happened to me when i was younger in my teens i havent had any since but i dont want to either
twice i went to sleep and awoke no longer in my body i was aware and i was aware of my body but i wasnt in it..
the first time i was in like this golden light but when i went back into my body and woke up it made me sick
the second time i was in a nightclub and id had too much to drink and smoke and i passed out and left my body and floated about on the roof of the club like a ballooon
ive had several dream which i believe are past life experinces
two from my last lifetime when i was an american soldier sent to vietnam
one was the death experince dream when i was shot and my body was lying in the jungle and i couldnt understand why i couldnt get back into it anymore and i had another dream where i my troop found one of those tunnels the viet cong used to used iand i was crawling thru this looking for the enemy
i believe i have recovered photos of the person who i was back then that ive got from the internet
i had a dream from the lifetime before that, when i crashed a car i was driving into a tree in france
ive had people telling me they knew me in past lives
i also had a vision while i was having spiritual healing in december last year of a time when i was an american native indian
ive talked to tibetan lamas as well and they said they knew me too in other lives

phew what a lot i have wrote ill leave it here for now
my fingers are hurting
im off for a cup of tea Wink
