Kyle Cumiskey is the weak link in the Hawks defense.
Joe Q is gonna have to find a sub for him or the triplets are gonna end the series in 5.

Kimmo Timonen ready to 'enjoy the moment' in return to Blackhawks' lineup
Quote:
Timonen last played in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final against the Anaheim Ducks, but with head coach relying heavily on his top two defense pairings, the carousel that is Chicago's third pairing hasn’t seen a lot of ice time.

Kyle Cumiskey will sit, meaning Timonen will be paired with Trevor van Riemsdyk. (Johnny Oduya, who suffered an upper-body injury in Game 3, is likely in, according to Quenneville.)

@ehBeth,
Hawks first period was a stinker.
Hope this goes 7 now.

@panzade,
yeah 7-game-series would be great. This substitute goalie did a pretty good job, but I hope Bishop recovers enough to be effective again. These Hockey teams/players keep a lid on their injuries...big mystery. He did have some sort of gastro issue in the last game, apparently, but there seems to be some sort of other muscle injury, perhaps?

@Ragman,
Definitely a muscle injury, but then it's a miracle these guys can even play after the beating they take through a season.

@panzade,
yeah, If someone were, let's just say, under the age of 35 yr, try one of those split legged saves - then pop right up again for more abuse and protecting the net. To me that is cruel and unusual punishment.

Congrats to all of the Hawks and Hawks fans. That was an amazing game and series they played. Closest one in history.

Hope Bolts get to see you next year in SC. Love a good rivalry.

Congratulations to them indeed Rags.
In the end the Bolts were wore out to little sparks here and there.
Look out next year tho.
Those sparks are gonna light a bonfire.
( I love it when a defense man gets the MVP)

See you a2kers next year!

@panzade,
NHL NEWS (kinda): Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist has knocked another $500,000 off the asking price for his midtown penthouse duplex. Only $5.49 million gets you 2,035 square feet on W. 52nd St. in Manhattan. 1,000 square foot terrace with hot tub. Shocked

Even if I don't care about the teams, I still like to watch the NHL Winter Classic outdoor game. I remember Sidney Crosby winning it for the Penguins in the shootout in Buffalo while heavy snow was falling. And Brendan Gallagher bats one out of midair for a beautiful goal! Canadiens 3, Bruins 0. In the old days, this is when the Big Bad Bruins would start getting physical. Cool

@jcboy,
A mighty sad showing by my Bs.
It also handed first place back to the Habs.
Grrr.
