Why these repeat listings of the same thing?

They probably aren't the same thing. Most systems have multiple controllers/hubs in them and some devices you add to the PC have their own hubs built in.

My system lists 3 PCI to USB Controllers, an "Enchanced" Controller and 4 hubs. But if I look at the properties for each they are all different.
