How do I get Tumblr followers? Not like thousands a day, that's unrealistic. But over time I have blogged and followed others and a few people followed me. I am active so I don't know what's going on. Comment...nicely

Tumblr is like every single other social media site out there. You need to engage with the community and you need to be patient.
Have you ever paid for that?

It's a business model designed to prey on the ill-informed and the desperate.
