is a calico cat white with coloured patches? what we call tortieshell?

if it is then it is about 99% likely to be female as tortie's normally are. (Rosie is a tortie tabby with no white) - so a trip to the vet is a definite need so we aren't reading about the babies as well!

Very Happy I was amazed when I saw it - he was hollering when I took it - but you never expect to catch it! Especially as the digital camera is slower to "take" than my other one!

Damned cat has taken over. Right now it's where it's been most of the day. Asleep in front of the heater.

Borrowing a litter box tomorrow, so that I don't have to put it out in the cold at night.

Wilso, whether you realize it or not, you have had a change in status, you are now "staff". Obviously you are new at this and in need of training but that will be seen to.

When I was a child a sickly wolverine used to come around. We would feed it and keep it warm until it regained its strength and vitality. Then it ate my family.

Wilso,

Break down and buy a litter pan, once used the pan smells like a strange cat and that could cause trouble. If your cat is a Tom, he may start spraying.

Calico cats are always female, Wilso. Better start saving up to have her spayed before she's five months old. They come into heat very young.

Can you take a picture of her and post it in the gallery?

Speaking of which, I really need to do that with my two....

Cat's are great companions Wilso and they are very clean. I adore cats . in fact, we just got a little kitten from the SPCA yesterday and she has already brought endless smiles and laughter in our lives.

Wilso,

If you do have a calico male, then you have a very rare cat in deed! Most calicos are female, but occasionally there is a calico male, normally sterile. If he is fertile and you don't want to keep him there are scads of breeders who will.
