@rcleary171,
Just for the halibut, we should find a way to tax this stuff.
I hate to be one to carp; but this thread is beginning to flounder.
@neologist,
But wait, I love this thread. It keeps me on an even keel while I try to avoid kelp and get to the grunion.
@ossobuco,
I believe we may never seal the end of this.

@rcleary171,
I have to scale back on these puns. We have been schooled!
This is an aside. I'll put in in smaller letters. Back when I was in school, the time when I was about twenty, I went with friends on a grunion run, since I was invited. First of all, it was late at night, says ms.crabby. Second, I wasn't that interested. Third, that was when I learned I was different from others in the dark.
Decades later, I've still no interest in catching grunion. More decades later, I learned I've an eye problem, stable, that explains all that. But my memories of that night in San Pedro were of a lot of people wildly chasing fish at the beach.
Another thought -
I've a friend whose son is a high up sort of captain who once was hired to captain a big yacht. The people on the boat, including, if I remember, owner, got off on baseball batting fish. (he quit)
I know you don't do downers. I just suggest that in reserve.
