I am curious. I'm creaing a comic book. Which of these ways is an appropriate way to do so without making the character look like a racist caricature?:
Oval eyes at a slight tilt or
Almond eyes at a slight tilt?
Take an actual look at Asian eyes and stop thinking in stereotypes. They're set in the head just like everybody else on the planet The only difference is an extra bit of skin, the epicanthic (or epicanthal)eye fold, at the inner corner of the eye.
I'd think you, being an alleged cartoonist, would have learned about drawing from actual observation.
I know about epicanthic folds. I'm talking about caricatures not a realistic picture.
This is more of I was talking about:
This is Ellen Yin, from the Batman.
Or Anne Chan from the Amazing Chan Clan:
Or Gi from Captain Planet:

@MontereyJack,
You missed the point of this thread entirely-I asked about drawing ASIAN EYES ON A CARTOON ANIMAL not a CARTOON PERSON.

So you don't want to draw a caricature as you said at the start, but you want to know how to draw a caricature. Cognitive dissonance, much. And you offered several examples of what you meant. DRAW EYES LIKE THOSE. Geez, some people are slow.
What does [img] mean? I think you botched your post.

It's part of the BBC code for posting an image, which presumably you use when you do. The URL I had there didn't work to post the image, so I started over and the lone img was left from the first attempt. Ignore it, focus on the successful one.
