Measures (Height × Width): 16.00×12.00 inches Zvi Zilberstein was born in Paris in 1929. In 1943 he joined the ''Premiere Armee Francais'' and participated in many battles. In 1947 he came to Israel and settled at Kibbutz Chulata. He worked there as fisherman, a truck driver and as an architect, but abandoned all of those professions in 1995 in order to commit himself to his painting. Today, Zilberstein, who was inspired by Roman Wishniak's photography, is reliving the magic of the photos capturing the humble lives of Europe's Jewish communities.
