UVA has a 6-story parking garage directly behind my shop for use by visitors to the Medical Center. It is a busy place in the mornings.
Once every week or so a musician or two is somewhere inside. Yesterday I heard an alto sax and, I believe, a clarinet.
They don't play tunes. Rather, the sound is slow riffs that might be mistaken for just being scales. The acoustics make for some haunting, perhaps even mildly disturbing sounds.
There is a lot of pedestrian traffic on the side street also. Mostly hospital workers heading to or from their jobs.
It is interesting to watch them. Most seem to be oblivious to the sounds, engrossed on their phones or whatever. But some will pause for a few seconds while others will give it greater attention - trying to make sense of it.
Yesterday was a wet day and at 8 am more than a bit dreary. We were perhaps aware that summer is ending and autumn is nearing.

I was 35-26 (not 29) for a winning percentage of .573.
Yeah, I screwed up on the total games. Sorry. Will have it corrected for the first of the week. Can we just continue to chalk it up to old age?

@realjohnboy,
RJB, after fixing my spreadsheet games picked number, I show Mysteryman as being 31-17, not 31-14. He picked all 16 games the first three weeks and then none last week, for a total of 48 games. I will double check my other figures with yours, but this one jumped out at me. I've now fixed my spreadsheet to account for those weeks with byes, so hopefully this will not happen again. Thanks for getting the numbers together for the ytd standings. Good to have someone to check off against. And please, never worry about stepping on my toes. I'm a clown and used to having them stepped on. lol

@realjohnboy,
I don't remember being last before. Quite a goad! The flotsam and jetsam will rise again to float up in rankings. See, I already have one plus this week.

Everyone is in!
This week there are seven games where we are totally or nearly totally unanimous in our picks (21-0, 20-1 or 19-2). I note that Ms Cowdoc is in the minority on one of those games. She alone picks Washington over Seattle.
I have the Chiefs at 49er's game as a tossup, while there are three other games on which we are pretty closely divided.
Tossing out the toss up game, we as a group agree on 80% of our picks.
AndyD, Osso and EhBeth concur with the majority on every game while JPB is off on and George is the odd man on 6.
Ms C differs from the majority on 4. So there is hope for the rest of us, perhaps, if she stumbles.

Well, it looks like this week belongs to Cowdoc. He is sitting pretty with 12 wins, followed closely by Osso, ehBeth, Panzade and Finn with 11. They all have Seattle tonight, so the week belongs to Cowdoc. Congrats.

According to my calculations, I'm 11-3, also picking Seahawks tonight. Did I offend someone?

@Ragman,
You are correct. In my spreadsheet, I had you down for SanDiego on the line for SanFrancisco, and since the way I have it set up the picks must exactly match my winner column, it did not give you credit.

You now have credit and are included among the 11 win participants. Sorry about that.

@CoastalRat,
Tnx.

I tried that Code tag, but I gave up after trying to space it all out. Hope all will forgive the formatting glitches. At least, the info is right.
