Why do we deliberately fool ourselves?

@One Eyed Mind,
I am nought but a simple man my friend, I shall not try to fool you into thinking I have more than my five senses.

@Smileyrius,
If this world did not allow Science, observation, analysis, assessment or tools to exist, I would not mind people's beliefs, but frankly, there IS SOMETHING to all of this, and it CAN BE known outside of this physical/personal illusion, as long as you understand yourself through it, rather than it through yourself.

@One Eyed Mind,
Seeing as we have Science, observation, analysis, assessment and tools Do you mind all beliefs or is it too much to ask that you be more specific

@Smileyrius,
It's simple.

If you choose yourself over this Universe - you cannot live in actuality; maybe in a society that does not favor this level of humanity, but everything in actuality will cease.

To live life, is to live undefined - there's no other way to live life. You cannot name it; you cannot own it. But you can hone it, by living through a Universe that lives through you.

@Setanta,
I'm going to give this one last shot because while you can, at times, be one of the most paranoid people I've come in contact with, your past experiences with me can justify a reluctance or refusal to assume positive intent on my part, and because, while you may not believe it, I did appreciate the time you took to originally respond to my question, and I appreciate that you made the effort to take it seriously.

I'm also going to make the effort because it's ironic that you reacted as you did to my response.

What you found to be “sneering” in using the term "historically documented" was anything but. I actually took pains to try and explain what I meant by the term because I didn't want to offend you, or have you think that I was “blowing off” your response. It's your choice to believe me or not, but I didn't, at all intend anything derisive.

In my defense, I did thank you for your response and indicated I found it very interesting. Perhaps that wasn’t clear enough, but you’ll have to forgive me if cordial conversation between the two of us is something of a foreign field.

Perhaps the problem was in my failure to clearly explain the distinction I was making between the “historically documented” wars and the events you covered in your response. Obviously I didn’t think you invented the Akkadian empire etc., but they were not examples of what I meant. In any case the question hardly matters at this point.

It may easily be the case that I am completely wrong but it seems to me that I am reading in your responses the same sense of “Jesus Christ, what do I have to do with this clown?” that I felt, and if that’s the case, it’s regrettable that our similar good intentions went awry.

I don’t expect us to consider each other “friends,” but there’s no reason for us to always be at each other’s throats. I’m perfectly willing to accept that this has been a misunderstanding and it was no one’s fault or both our faults.

My quite welcome what?

Now this is a pickle

Either you've forgotten your facetiously thanking me for "that brilliant insight," or you've focused on my obviously incorrect use of "your."

I prefer not to think your someone who resorts to the latter, so I'll leave it at reminding you of you're thanking me.

@Finn dAbuzz,
It was your constant use of "historically documented" and in italics which lead me to assume you thought i had no historical basis for what i was saying. Clay tablets are documents just as are pieces of paper, and there are multiple sources. Why did you assume that there were not?

You made a comment about primates and prehistory, so i went as far back in the historical record as i could. I could have just blown you off by giving you three words . . .

. . . the Roman Empire.

Next time, maybe that's what i should do.

What's you're opinion about "someone who resorts to the latter"?It seemed to go over your head that you were guilty of the same thing you were implying about me, so I gave you some low-hanging fruit instead.

@One Eyed Mind,
Without malice, you're one odd cookie OEM,
It is within our nature to define, to question and to perceive the world around us from infancy up. If the wisdom of the universe cannot be found within our nature, I for one am quite happy sat in the saddle of the foolish one.

@Smileyrius,
Smiley, I do not mean to be odd, but the Universe simply is odd in itself. Like a person can think like a creature or an object, I think like the Universe, I look at how it behaves. I understand its design to then ask questions like, "why is there a whirlpool (water), a tornado (wind), a sink hole (land) and a black hole (space)?"; "Why do they all behave like spirals and cycles?"; "Why does the tornado come down from the sky towards the ground?"; "Why do human beings have an electromagnetic shield like planets do?"; "Why do we communicate via electromagnetic waves like plants do?"; "Why can we tell someone is staring at us from behind through electromagnetic waves?"; "Why is the planet we live on designed from the core to the Universe, red, orange and yellow; green, light blue and dark blue; then finally purple - isn't this exactly the same pattern as the rainbow?"; "Why are bacteria naive and why is the Universe young?"; "Why do we live in both, what is reality and what is imaginary?"; "Why are Man so connected with poetry and stories when they connect with the Universe?"; Why are Man not so connected with the Universe always angry and living in fear?"; "Why do electrons and bees change frequencies of their buzz to express anger?"; "Why is this Universe communicating with us via vibrations, frequencies and energy?"

There's much one can ask - there' very little one should answer, as it has always been apparent whether we were consciously aware of it or not.

@Smileyrius,
I would if idiocy did not keep dragging wars, hate and death into our homelands. So I am hell-bent on learning human stupidity ALL THE WAY AROUND from the Universe's eyes. That is why I have established that dark matter is ignorance on cosmic level. That is why I mentioned that the Universe evolved from darkness > formed > light ~ people evolved from ignorance > information > intelligence. I know the human experience on a cosmic level.
