Will a big dent on a refrigerator cause it to be less insulated?

My fridge got dented inward somewhat severely on its lower back corner.
The corner is now crumpled and dented, requiring shims to level the fridge
Is a fridge like thermo, where a dent would cause its insulation to go bad?
Does this lower the efficiency of the fridge?
Thanks.

@ak0vira,
Maybe but probably not. Look at the inside liner and see if you can see any damage. If not, you are probably fine.

It depends upon the place and size of the dent. If you're observing any change in it's performance then it is OK.

If your refrigerator can't damage then your refrigerator may be fine.

@Dean Haustead,
I think you're onto something, Dean.
