OK, so I have a patent pending on an idea, I want to raise funds for a prototype(already have a rough prototype) and Id like to introduce it to the market via a medical/EMT expo of sorts. My question is how do I protect the idea from being stolen or copied? Any help? Also, Anyone had any luck with the crowdsourcing fundraising sites??

@27tubguy,
Since you've got patent pending status, do you have a patent attorney? These are questions for this person, who is specially trained (and, yes, expensive. But you get what you pay for). Ask him/her about Kickstarter, GoFundMe, etc.

@jespah,
I do, and the attorney suggested we start trying to sell the prototype. But still I worry if its at an expo, and a wealthy rep sees it and want to copy. Whats to stop them?
Also any had any luck with kickstarter, indiegogo etc.
