hell yeah people turn away. it's twice as hard for me because I live in a ghetto ass nieborhood. I actually just stared listening to heavymetal about 3 months ago. Right now I'm really into slipknot.
i used to in the "ghetto." even them thinking i was into metal then, when i really was into rap, made me hated all around. but now im around people like me though, so yay. i just have to ignore all the bites they give me. literally. yea, as to slipknot, u need to listen to iowa, thier first cd. its their best one. and go for lamb of god, alice in chains, and MM. i think u might like them.
