South Carolina, where we may be moving only has BCBS medicare advantage PPO. versus HMO here in NC. the premium is 20.00 a month higher. Having investigated I'm suspecting the co-pays are going to be considerably higher with a PPO. Any knowledgeable folks here?

It is possible to have high or low co-pays with either a PPO or a HMO. It's up to whoever structures the plan.

You should be able to get information about co-pays from the Blue Cross website.

If I got to the right place, these pages have downloadable PDFs with plan details:

So far NC hospital 170.00 a day for 7 days then free. SC 295 a day for 5 days then free. office visit co -pays, 10.00 NC, 25.00 SC. I will say that prescription coverage seems a little cheaper. A summary of benefits package is on it's way to me from SC.
