Strange keyboard (?) reaction

So I finally (re-)formated my 'windows-drive.

All went on fine, works pretty good.
(Well, I still have to install some seldom-used software Sad )

So, I thought, what does pcpitstop think of it.

When re-registering, suddenly all my IE-windows were closed.

After I succeeded in overcoming this new shock :wink: , I noticed that this always happened, when I typed the "at" in my email address.
More investigating: this happens on any website, not in text programs and I [certainly] can type @ using shortcuts.

I think/hope, my keyboard is set correct for Germany.

What else could this be?

your browser is using @ as a control key;
i use Opera, not I.E. and when i push @ when i'm not in a typing window, my "hotlist" pos up, on the left.
you may be able to reconfigure this in 'preferences' but you will need to talk to an I.E. fan (definitely not me).
