Are Newton´s asumptions really true?

However, wiht regards of the force from the floor (F), why doesn't it diminish and where is it's powersource?????????

This actually an interesting question... for people who actually want to learn Physics.

The answer is a scientific value called 'Work' (not to be confused with the non-scientific use of the word). Work is defined as "a force applied over a distance". Since the Force being put on you by the floor (which is counteracting the force on you from gravity so that you don't fall) isn't being applied over a distance, there is no Work and no "powersource" is needed.

I think I am wasting my time with Quehoniaomath... but if anyone is really curious, there is some interesting science here.

Offcourse there is a lot wrong with this "Work" thing. be back later.
yes, you are wasting your time indeed. Wink

It is all garbage, sorry to say.

Here's an experiment for you that will quickly show you how the floor provides force. Walk across the roof of a 12 story building. Notice how you are held in place at that height. Now walk off the edge of the roof. Let us know your conclusions.

Nice one, but you don't answer my questions at all!

You are just being an annoying idiot. If you have anything to say that contradicts Newton, then say it, with evidence, otherwise you are just being a stupid child.

@contrex,
I think that this injunction from you is a waste of your energy. He's much worse than that. He's a pathological liar who is apparently unable to realize that he's not likely to pick up science mistakes that people all over the world have missed for centuries without even learning a smattering of the subject. He's made just about everyone who's read his posts hate him and seems to be fine with it, although no rational person would define that as success. I could have corrected his childish physics ideas here easily, but he's obviously not worth it. Dealing with him in any way is a waste of time, and, furthermore, it kind of seems as though he's enjoying the attention.

strange things indeed and a lot of jumping to conclusions.

Let's see:

pathological liar.

ok, based on what? That I don't fall in your trap?
Come on girl grow up.

don't you see how illogical this statement is?

it is not true, but if it was there might be a good reason for it.
People don't like what I write. so?
I am showing you the Emperor has no clothes!
And that sems to be strictly forbidden.
It's sad

And

Actually I am feeling too old for that kind of a thing.
I don't care if you do or don't read, so it must be a projection of some sort.
Get it? Wink

It answered your question perfectly. Without the work of the floor or roof holding you up what happens? Did you do the experiment? Clearly the floor/roof is doing work otherwise you would fall through them. Gravity is applying the same force when you are on the roof as when you step off it.

@parados,
Quick correction parados, to make sure the science is correct.

The floor does zero work holding you up. It is a force, but not a force acting over a distance.

Everyone can't know physics, any more than I know most professions that I haven't studied or worked in, but I am dumbfounded by the idea that anyone (not this guy, he's just a troll) would proclaim that he has disproven really basic physics used successfully and thought about by three centuries of scientists around the world without first taking even one class in it. I say "without taking even one class in it" because anyone who is confused by Newton's third law has certainly never passed a physics or mechanical engineering class.

well, a few things, you are wrong, as usual
I have studied a few years physics/math at university level.
So that is one wrong.

Furthermore, questioning Newton or relativity or anything else does not mean one has not studied it offcourse. Me, and others, have studied it.
However, once you are out of the indoctrination program, it is much easier to see the numerous flaws in physics. As stated here before, it nearly is all based on circular reasoning.

Quote:

This one is very very illogical.
Because it it taught for three centuries and what have you doesn't make
something true offcourse.
It is taught for three centuries because each generation indoctrinates the next one with this bullshit. Because most people are indoctrinated with this bollocks, one gets blinded to its enormous faults.
And don't you really see how illogical you are? I mean, this way you can say , well . it is thought bla bla by one month, then bla bla bla, two centuries, then bla bla bla three centuries. It doesn't mean a thing. Only that people are in a deep hypnosis and don't see the Emperor has no clothes.

There are people way more intelligent then any stupid 'scientist'.
And ohh btw most inventions are not made by 'academics'.
Offcourse not, they are the dumbest people on the face of the earth thinking they are smart. How dumb indeed.

His proclamations are just that; proclamations. No math, nothing. (I expect he'll say that 2+2=5 and we are all fools for believing otherwise). This person is an attention troll.

it IS funny, if someone says something different he is branded a troll as soon as possible. And all that by reflex, no thinking required it seems.

Ah wel, my own fault, I knew it was a church and no science at all!

Actually, I think it does.

The fact that you gave that ridiculous boat example without the slightest idea of how force works or the slightest clue of how to explain the theory proves that you have not studied Physics .

@Quehoniaomath,
Q, welcome to the A2K forum.

Your ideas are a welcome challenge to convention thinking.

What are your thoughts on subatomic particles?

Now there's a surprise.

I don't think you actually believe all this **** you have been posting; I think you are just trying to spin this out as long as you can.

Really, don't even give him that much attention. He's a liar who apparently likes the negative attention. He doesn't care whether anything he says is true.
