So we've learned that women love red shoes, and that men use duct tape to hold their sneakers together. That's all well and good, but

what socks are you wearing right now ?

I'm sitting here at my computer on a chilly Melbourne morning - dressed in bright red pyjamas, voluminous dressing gown & very thick white sports socks. Very fetching! Laughing

To answer, grey tube socks, which I am considering throwing out the whole batch of. I am in transition, see, after years of thickish socks, both cheapo and costly, and these grey cotton tubers, which once pleased me for utilitarian reasons, have certain problems within my shoes.

I bought a new pair of socks at lunch today, does that count?

Well, actually, it wasn't lunch. I go to the recently renovated old hotel now business building down the street to use their restroom and get a coffee instead of venturing upstairs in our building, where our once very large not quite haunted space (but ours) has been taken over by renovators, including one, at least, living there, zinging about in not a fully clothed state, plus guys run up and down the stairs. The one bathroom door doesn't lock. Plus the stairs are treacherous for moi, hand rail being set at something like 26" height. So, as I was saying, while waiting at the down the street business building for them to gather themselves to make me a latte, I ran next door and bought, wait, wait...

a pair of dung brown 80% cotton socks by a company named "ozone". Now, this is a store that carries cashmere socks, and some serious light wool seeming socks from Germany, big bucks. Today, just these. We'll see.

I wear identical black socks year after year. They don't need sorting, just throw them away one at a time as they wear out.

How many different color socks do you own? Which color is predominant? How many pairs do you have? Wink
