Would/do you let your baby urinate in the street?

I saw a woman holding a baby over a sewer, in New York City one summer to let the child urinate. The woman was laughing the whole time and by the way, the sewer in question was right in front of a police station.

Most folks with a similar problem don't urinate in the street. They look for a big bush, instead.

I think we have a cultural problem regarding the definition of the word baby. Most babies in the United States wear diapers so the question is made moot.

How could you impede it? How old is this baby? If they can tell you when they need to go, then more likely a toddler or older. ...if the spinal chord isn't mature they can't help it anyway. So your question is....should I have let him/her soil clothing, or is it acceptable to have them urinate in public based on age.

If an adult male is observed by the Police to be urinating in the street, in full view of the public, I doubt very much that the cops will ask the guy, if he spinal chord is intact!

They'll just charge the guy with a FELONY...

There are physical developmental differences between children and adults. Some children can help it, most adults do. The question is about children.
