ANOVA repeated measures or mixed design?

I have an ANOVA analysis problem that I'm trying to figure out that goes as follows:
"The effects of a special diet on ascorbic acid levels in blood plasma were studied in hospital in patients. Measurements of plasma ascorbic acid were taken from each patient before (PRE), during (DIET), and after (POST) the special diet treatment. Two measurements (a & b) were collected during each measurement period, in order to assess the reliability of the measurements. There were an equal number of male and female patients participating in the study."

It's an ANOVA analysis, and from my understanding, there are two within subjects factors (time: 3 levels – pre, during, and post; and measurement points (2 levels: a and b); and one between subjects factor (gender). However, I'm having trouble determining whether it's a repeated-measures design or mixed design?

Thank you!
Melissa
