Wife dies husband dies brother dies no children I'm a step child who gets what

My mother passed away then her husband passed which is my step dad he had one child she signed over all the property to me she doesn't want anything to do with it but he has a brother that also passed his only brother who has no children but was married does she have a right to the property or will my brother and I be able to acquire it we are going through probate now please help the property has backed to taxes and we don't want to waste the little money we have
