I am doing a study at college where I have:

1x IV (condition 1 and condition 2) and 2x DV (questionnaire 1 and questionnaire 2) and therefore using a MANOVA.

The question is:
How many participants do I need to have in each group?
And how is that number determined?

This is the first course I have taken in research methods, so I would appreciate it greatly if someone could explain this to me in plain English.

Thank you so much.

@hanhan,
Didn't you read the syllabus? Booklist? Go to the lectures, take notes,attend labs, join a study group? Now you want a bunch of baby boomer geezers do your paper?

@bobsal u1553115,
I don’t want anyone to do my paper. I am just wondering how to determine how many participants I need to recruit.
