Speaking of ignorance, A, don't you think it incredible that the American people, you know, that group of savvy people who control their governments, would let such an abomination even be called "the patriot act".

Really, I ask you; Is there are larger group of fools anywhere on the planet?

I agree. Mencken once said that no one ever lost money underestimating the intelligence of the American public.

GWB was the ultimate fool, and the public elected him twice to the presidency. The Patriot Act was one of a number of really stupid and horrible things he managed to do.

I do take responsibility for my own errors. My wife had a perfectly good policy. We signed up for Obama care and both policies were canceled! None of the brokers or agents can seem to find the answer as she only needs coverage until July when she turns 65. we found a way around her $600+ monthly prescription debacle. Just hoping she does not have an emergency event until then.

A great deal of confusion could have been avoided simply by making those turning 65 in 2014 to sign up for medicare on Jan 1. The added cost to medicare could be charged to ACA. Of course, that would have been reasonable.

It was not Obama who took away your wife's crappy policy. The insurance companies canceled such policies because they want new insureds who are now entitled to the benefits of Obamacare. Moreover, most of the people didn't keep their old plans because they can get better plans through the state's AFC exchange, or through the AFC website.
