Newmarket who successfully marketed "Passion" is re-releasing "Donnie Darko" into theaters after its dissapointing $517,375 box office of three years ago. Could it be the 8.3 viewer rating on IMDb, making it #94 of their best film list has prompted them to give it a second chance on the big screen?
Could be that, or maybe it's just because they wanted to release another movie where the hero hears voices.

I love Donnie Darko....great flick, and to open with Echo and the Bunnymen's 'Killing Moon' was not only wonderfully ironic, it brought back many memories of my goth days.
It is very gothic come to think of it. Ebert barely gave it thumbs up (** 1/2).

Jake Gyllenhaal also impressed in "The Good Girl."
