So I look up "chuck" (not to be confused with upchuck) so that I can participate in this erudite discussion with intelligence and precision, and I find no definition that relates to wood.
Definitions for chuck:
1. cluck
2. used as an endearment
3. pat, tap, toss, discard, dismiss, oust, to have done with
4. a pat or nudge under the chin; an abrupt movement or toss
5. a cut of beef, food, an attachment for holding a workpiece or tool in a machine
So what do we mean when we say that the woodchuck chucks wood? Does he or she toss it? Throw it away?
dlowan, I'm sufficiently confused that this could be the digression thread.
