Chuck Wood?
It had to happen! Finally, a groundhog/woodchuck thread on Able2Know.....I'm sorry - I just couldn't help myself.
I can resist anything except temptation....
dlowan, The creator of this question has the correct answer. I would only suggest to you that you refer back to the author, and ask him/her.
c.i.
only a wabbit would go this far and post a question like this, try and tempt me to write a limerick that would get me tossed out of here. i've been 'chucking wood' all day into the stove, or was i 'shucking' wood? i have to be cautious here, jespah or phoenix might toss me out if i got going on the rhymin timin thing.....
where'd you come up with this one btw? at the last pahty?
If I chucked wood once in my life, does that make me a woodchuck? c.i.
Mikey - this is a classic Abuzz thread - woodchucks have figured strongly in Abuzz legend - as for luring you into a terminal limerick, your equivocation is as old as Adam - and as bootless! (The woman tempted me, I mean....)
CI - I believe that makes you a chucker of wood, not a woodchuck - there is a subtle difference...
Who was it who uttered the classic woodchuck thread comment: "He ain't nothin' but a groundhog"?
soooo, in other words i won't get booted because it's christmas?
didn't know about the abuzz thing.
i'll have to think about this a bit,,,before i sink my own ship, i'm good at it lol.
maybe if i changed the vowels they'd let it slide, no?
Ah, can hatched shells and -gry words be far behind?
dlowan, It seems like nitpicky stuff to me! What's the difference between a woodchuck and the "woodchucker?" c.i.
only if me and james joyce have another pint at Finnegans Wake Jespah.....;-)
i'll be a good boy and just lurk tonight, keep out of trouble.
I think that there was squireel poop involved maybe or was it ground hogs and other species?
are ground hogs similar to ground squirrles? how come there's "ground" squirrles, but no "tree" squirrles?
.....the "tree' in tree squirrel is silent....
I understand that groundhogs and woodchucks are one and the same thing? Perhaps a native may be able to elucidate?
As for your wickedness, Mikey - let the woodchuck fur fly far....
Woodchucks and groundhogs are one and the same. Ground squirrels are squirrels which burrow in the ground.
One question: Were you perhaps referring to Wood, Chuck, aka Chuck Wood? If so, stay away from this guy, he's a rodent, an animal and sorta dumb. You are way out of his league.
I know naught of this Chuck Wood you animadvert to, Diane.....
Wood he make me want to Chuck?
hmmm, rabbits are rodents and of course an animal. what can one infer from these facts and Diane's comments reagarding their intelligence.....................
.....like I said, a silent "tree".....
....smoulders icily at phewoh.....
....or should that be "Phooey".....?
