For Larry O'Neil, my next door neighbor who survived the Battle of the Bulge; 9/11..and who died tonight:

A lawyer; a New Yorker; a neat guy; and a drummer.

:: Louis Armstrong - On the Sunny Side Of the Street Lyrics

Artist: Louis Armstrong Lyrics
Song: On the Sunny Side Of the Street Lyrics

Grab your coat and get your hat
Leave your worries on the doorstep
Life can be so sweet
On the sunny side of the street

Can't you hear the pitter-pat
And that happy tune is your step
Life can be complete
On the sunny side of the street

I used to walk in the shade with my blues on parade
But I'm not afraid...this rover?s crossed over

If I never had a cent
I'd be rich as Rockefeller
Gold dust at my feet
On the sunny side of the street

(instrumental break)

I used to walk in the shade with them blues on parade
Now I'm not afraid... this rover has crossed over

Now if I never made one cent
I?ll still be rich as Rockefeller
There will be goldust at my feet
On the sunny
On the sunny, sunny side of the street.

Hey, Irish. thinking about you.

Rick Springfield: Jesse's Girl. Confused

Hey, I just saw him on the Wayne Brady show. (Now, I'm embarrased to admit that!) My wife was watching it, honest! But he sang that song at the end of the show, and the whole audience was singing along with him. . . it was cool.
(Wayne Brady's okay, I like him as a comic, I just don't do talk shows.)

Okay, anybody remember "Girl you know it's true", by Milli Vanilli? I'm a little afraid to even admit that I bought that one. That's embarrassing.

That was the first CD I bought! Man, I was so mad at them. . .

As for songs I'm embarrassed of liking...well, there's not really any out there. There are some that I don't let other people know I listen to, but embarrasse? Nope, not me.

Saftey Dance, Men Without Hats...okay, maybe a little embarrassed about that one. (I even have the video on tape!)

So do I. In fact, I have one of his 45's.

"Honey" was written about a tree. Seriously.

Absolutely amazing ballad. I know of 3 versions, one by The Coven (best-known), one by The Original Caste (huh?), and a third one I heard on the radio, which may be the cut from the movie "The Legend of Billy Jack". My wife loves this song.

Every time I hear it, I have this kooky idea for a video go through my head. Smile

Anybody into cowboy songs?

I like country.

"Ghost Riders..." is great--I like the version from Blues Brothers 2000 (movie sucked, though) sung by John Goodman.

Another one: "Should've Been A Cowboy".

I have a CD of "Bat Out Of Hell" in my truck. Smile My girlfriend (now my wife) wanted me to do "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" in our senior year talent show...I nixed that one.

I have to admit being ashamed of liking an internet radio parody of the theme from "Greatest Amercian Hero (Believe it Or Not I'm Walking on Air)" titled "Believe it Or Not I Came in Her Hair". Embarrassed Sorry, it still makes me laugh for some reason.
