I'm glad someone already mentioned Barry Manilow. It gives me the courage to (choke) admit that (choke) I like "Mandy". (Please don't hate me)

I love Fernando, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Very Happy

And I love Bobby Goldsboro's "Honey" and that one about See the Little Clown. Embarrassed

I like the stuff Neil Sedaka used to sing and the song "Billy Don't Be A Hero" by Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods.

Yes to all of the songs listed so far, except for lk_182--Britney definitely needs a very young audience. Of course, I still get sentimental when I hear Happy Trails.

Okay, anybody remember "Girl you know it's true", by Milli Vanilli? I'm a little afraid to even admit that I bought that one. That's embarrassing.

I'm not! I loved that song. The guy who sang it had a great voice. I would have loved to hear more of him. I didn't appreciate being duped though.

tainted love, ooooh oooh oooh tainted love....

...do you like pina coladas, getting stuck in the rain....

Where it began
I can't begin to knowin'
But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
And spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along

Hands, touchin' hands
Reachin' out
Touchin' me
Touchin' you

Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would

But now I
Look at the night
And it don't seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurtin' runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when I'm with you

Warm, touchin' warm
Reachin' out
Touchin' me
Touchin' you

Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would
Oh, no, no

Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would
Sweet Caroline

oh yeh! big time;

i just love the singing of Bonnie Tyler; "Total Eclipse of the Heart", "Faster than the Speed of Night", "Nothing But a Heartache", ..........

great lyrics, and excellent delivery, if a somewhat gritty but oh so sexy voice, but shudder.........it's "country!!!"

Other ABBA hits that I just find joyful and beguiling are:

SOS
Waterloo
knowing Me, Knowing You

Ah, well -- the two girls did look like Vogue models.

I think the Pina Colada song (yes, that's really the name of the song) is Rupert something. Rupert Holmes?

Been listening to a lot of Earth, Wind and Fire lately (not that they're anything to be ashamed of, usually) - and I'm finding myself having the CD player repeat the REALLY disco-y songs, like Let's Groove Tonight and Boogie Wonderland.

(kicky, i think you should listen to that shame.)

and stop being ashamed of patsy cline, sp, for god's sake. the woman was great. as was old (or, rather, young) willie nelson, whose songs patsy sang so well.

for me, it's "glory days." except for nebraska (which is feckin' great), the boss bugs the hell out of me. but glory days is a great, great tune, right down to that cornball organ lick.

My favorite disco era songs were "How Do You Like Your Love" by Andrea True Connection and most anything by Donna Summer.
