cjhsa -- love those graphics! And your avatar.
And welcome riffat.
riffat- Glad to meet you!
Misti, That reminds me of the very early '60s and beatniks!! lol I'm sure you don't remember the 'spiked' pants the guys wore with the very very narrow ties. But I do, it was during my first two years of college. :-D
those were "peg legs" bean there done that
Danon5: Are you kidding? I remember felt skirts and bobby sox even tho' I hate to admit it! Bill Haley and the Comets, Buddy Holly, Elvis, The Righteous Bros., Little Richard, I could go on and on:)
Awww, my eyes are getting misti just thinkin about those days. We had fun didn't we!!!!
Hi dys, Can't imagine you in pegs. lol A little uncomfie in the saddle?? <BG> :-D
Sock Hops on the polished floor of the basketball court ... crewcuts, crinolines and chaperones ... Coke in thick green bottles, uncertain fumblings beneath the bleachers, St. Christopher medals and Virgin Pins ... Naaaah .... I'm too young to remember that. Surely, I must be. Sadly, my knees know otherwise.
Welcome, Riffat!
timber
Timber, how about Drive-In movies, New York Diners, Roller Skating, White Castle Hamburgers, Radio Luxembourg, The Shadow, hanging out at the Ice Cream parlour ..... errrrrrrrr, how much time do you have?

Not as much as we had then, I wager.

Geez, youse guys are gettin' old. I don't remember any of that.
(They do say the memory is the first to go. Three sure signs of getting old. 1) the memory goes. er... I don't remember the other two.)
You guys are funny! And I don't remember any of that either.
Welcome to all the newcomers. I hope you enjoy A2K!!
Pheonix, well, of course, so do I. But I can't admit it. My legion of fans thinks I'm 32.
What great memories!!
Misti, I don't remember the New York things, growing up in Arizona, but the icecream parlor, drive in movies and The Shadow are all fairly well preserved in this old mind.
Ah Diane, I'll say it again, they were the best of times! I don't think we realized it then. They were so carefree and light, even tho' we had our responsibilities, jobs, and socializing we HAD to tend to:)
When I think of all these things now, I don't know how we did it. When we lived in New York we would (5 of us) go to the city to a dance, they didn't close until 4 a.m., then we'd walk to Bickford's for breakfast, and roll in home around 6 or 7 a.m., then sleep all day!
Gawd, we could sleep until the cows came home:)
