Double standards in the EU do exist!

Double standards in the EU are painfully obvious imo. Take Gypsy problem. Generally Gypsies prone to robbery and crime of all sorts are huge irritant in many EU countries.
When old dame France, sick and tired of this filthy folks, started dismantling their camps throughout the country withdrawing them back into Romania and Bulgaria and elsewhere human rights advocates in the EU structures were just slightly critical of this French policy.
In Slovakia it was drastically different. The Lunik IX borough in Kosice was branded "the largest Gypsy ghetto in Europe"! And when a tall wall was erected around it to defend city residents of the illnesses spreading from there it was just barrage of EU criticism on Slovakia, blamed in xenophobia and racism and other! EU officials forced Kosice authorities to ruin the wall. They don't care at all that our kids will be now more vulnerable to head lice, hepatitis, diarrhea, meningitis and hell of other diseases from the Lunik IX!
I tend to think EU officials see Slovakia as much inferior to France in EU countries hierarchy. Somehow it doesn't make us happy in Slovakia. That's not fair, I am sure. And this makes me burst with indignation!
