@gungasnake,
the DAnsgaard Oeshger cycles and the Chandler wobble seem to conspire atop this sunspot cycle decline. In many "non politicized" climate papaers out there, the mathematics of climate modeling predicts an even deeper cooling than experienced during the Ittle Ice Age.
