Service Panel update

I had my service upgraded from a 125 to 200. My house has a fuse box that was connected to the main and now is connected to a breaker.that box controlled almost everything in my house. When the electrician connected the box to the breaker for some reason my electric bill went from normally being no more than 180 in the summer and 75i the winter to 385 in the winter. Usage is 4900 watts when it was 80-90 what did she do?
