Dependent t-test?

I'm trying to determine what statistical test to use for a non-experimental pre-post design with one intervention group. Students took a pre-test survey, were exposed to an intervention, and then took a post-test. However, I had 65 pre-test surveys returned and just 37 post-test surveys returned. Can I still use a dependent t-test or should I be using another test?
