The time between breakdowns of an alarm system is exponentially distributed with mean
10 days. What is the probability that there are no breakdowns in the next 4 four days?
@fofa,
Go to this website to get a Poisson calculator:
http://stattrek.com/online-calculator/poisson.aspx
Enter in 4 for the Poisson random variable and 10 for the average rate of success.
The cummulative probability for X<=4 is 0.0293. That is the chance of failure in over 4 hours.
The chance that there is no failure is 97.17%
Thank u
could you please help me in the other Q that i posted
