Suppose that a random sample of n=1000 Canadians were taken and asked whether or
not they believe that the economic outlook will be better next year than it is currently. Four
hundred ninety (490) people agreed that the outlook would be better next year. What is the
probability that the sample proportion would accurately reflect the population proportion to
within 3 percent (either way)?
