I have been sweating a lot more than normal lately. Help!

I'm 14 1/2 and the past few days I have been sweating in my armpit area really, really bad. I'm not even hot or doing any activity. Just sitting around doing school. My shirt is really wet under my armpits and they stink really bad. I haven't had my first period yet could this be a sign of it? I have been expecting my period to come for 1 1/2 and have been developing for maybe a little more than 3 years. Or what else could it be? It just started Oct. 30th. (2 days ago).
