The lowly stinkbug needs our pity
-his only fame is that he stinks-
no one says, "well ain't you pretty!"
when he appears on shelf or sink,

he might be pious, bold, or witty,
to humankind he's still a jinx,
t'were your lot, you'd say: 'life's shitty'
and you'd believe that you, (I think)

deserve a special place Upstairs
reserved for those with lives that stink.

So you who in the great hereafter
hope for Heaven, leave the hate!
you might some day hear his laughter
when he's your Heavenly roommate!
