I LOVE DUCK DYNASTY

I honestly have no idea what Duck Dynasty is about. I only knew they were rednecks with beards. But now I know the father hates gays and loves Jesus. Very shocking to hear from a redneck! Do they shoot things? In a swamp? Can I pray for a hilarious accident?

The show is mostly a spoof but these people are not dumb hillbillies .The father is a kind of neanerthal about our culture. Hi religious beliefs are often spoofed (mildly) on the show.
hes always making these avuncular "Evangelical points " upon which a life hould be bsed. Thi is the first time hes come up with anything about gay folks and I hope it doesn't kill the show.

Remember, its been only a generation since Stonewall and I still have highly educated uncles that don't like what they don't understand about culture.
Give the show a break. This "patriarch" Ia admittedly a fool with his bible thumping but the show is pretty good overall (IMHO)

If you've ever watched a BBC show called TOP GEAR, the same thing pertains there. One of the TG's "Stars" Jeremy Clarkson said something racist a few years back an was chastised, but Brits seem to have a greater tolerance for all kinds of views than we do. Evolution requires time and cutting this guy at the knees is not the right way to change the minds of those that think like him. Id actually like to see him (on the show) get confronted by some verbally saavy gays confront him and have a "come to Jayzus" confrontation. That would be entertaining if some verbally astute gay guy would remind Jimmie that maybe Jezus himself was being dissed with these views.

Part of the charm f that show is that these are not idiots, they are all intelligent loving people. Too bad Phil was starting to act like the Andy Griffith Character "Lonesome Rhoads" in A Face In the Crowd. Maybe the Duck guys don't realize that were looking at them for their example , not their silly worldview.

If you don't like the show, change channels. there is more than one show and more than one station to watch. if it were us Christians complaining about a show, that is what you would be telling us.

Phil was suspended, but he's back on the show, now. You can't keep a good man down. but there is only one good, and that is GOD.

America is the only country in the world that i know of where the minority controlls the majority, and they do a pretty good job of it too.

yeh, he was a guy in his 40's with kids right? I remember talking to him about something and was really amazed at his depth of knowledge about Brittany. He kinda creeped me out..
