I have a 2006 new beetles. Check report says that the CV boot suggest replacement or repair. Is it very important? And how much will it cost? Someone said it will be 500$. Do i need to replacement a new axle?

@lewisuan,
a replacement axle is often the best fix warranty wise.

$500 is on the high side of it. unless you are doing both sides of the vehicle.

replacement axles are less than $100 each.
