I am willing to discuss the Bible in a more open-minded way than either Enaj or you, Romeo.

Yet, you haven't done so.
The title of the thread is....Is Jesus God?
So, pick a bible verse and explain how and why you think it supports or doesn't support that Jesus is God. And have a discussion on it with others.

If you do not believe that God or Jesus are real then discuss that on a thread that has to do with that.

Also, it seems that you have never considered that you might be wrong about it all be fiction, that God might be real, that is being closed-minded.

Nah mate, that's bordering on paranoia!
I mean, the 5 million population of Israel plus the Roman garrison saw and heard Jesus strutting his stuff for 3 long years, but you don't trust them! Who do you think they saw, Mary Poppins?
Oh, and you recently accused me and WorldTraveller of being bisexual!

Wake up, Enaj. Whether the Bible says Jesus is god or not...has absolutely nothing whatever to do with whether or not Jesus is god. And in fact, whether the Bible says there is a god or not...has absolutely nothing whatever to do with whether or not there is a god.

If the question had been, "Does the Bible say that Jesus is God?" perhaps some of what you are saying and requesting would make sense. As it stands, however, it doesn't.

I will discuss whatever I want to...wherever I want to. If you choose not to read what I write...that is okay with me. But do not tell me what I must write...and where I must write it.

Not only have I considered that it might be fiction...I have actually written those words a couple of times here. You apparently are too close-minded to read what I write.

Your problem...not mine.

It has nothing to do with paranoia...and everything to do with open-mindedness.

You have no idea of who saw what...and the Bible is suspect as an indicator of what happened 2000 years ago.

No I did not. I stated a few facts about a statement you made. Live with it.

Here's what you said to me and WT mate-
"Some like me will only be aroused by the opposite sex.Some, like the gays here, will only be aroused by the same sex.And apparently some, like you two, are aroused by both, but make a choice. That does not mean it is universal" (Frank Apisa, Fri Jul 18 2014)

See, you clearly imply I'm bisexual, or have I misunderstood what you were trying to say?

You're the one displaying the symptoms mate not me, by distrusting the testimonies of countless thousands of bible eyewitnesses!
Also, when I posted some of my fan mail a while back you displayed the symptoms again by implying that I'd made it all up myself!-

@timur,
Jesus was man and GOD. You are flesh and spirit as well.

Jesus when He walked the earth was dually humanity and deity.
It does not take a rocket scientist to figure this one out.

That's why you patently aren't a rocket scientist..

You still have no proof that Jesus existed, other than your belief..

@timur,
Thank you for affirming the stupidity of the trinitarian doctrine.

Though it may not mean anything to you, it is also a doctrine that dishonors God and trivializes Jesus' sacrifice.

@neologist,
I agree--I am NOT a Trinitarian neither were the apostles. The early church knew nothing about Trinitarianism. This was the making of Constantine and the Catholic Church.

God indeed was manifested in the flesh. See John the first chapter.

He was seen of angles, received up into glory--Who? The scriptures say God. Who was Jesus? According to the scripture below HE IS GOD! Not a second person in a triune god head nor was he an angel nor was he Jehovah JR.

I Timothy 3:16
16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Could not care less about whether I make your "loser's list"...mostly because you are one of the poorest judges of character I've dealt with in A2K.

Anyway...I did not imply you are bisexual. I merely stated the obvious: If you are so sure homosexuality is a choice...you must be able to make that choice.

I cannot...and there is no way I can conceive of homosexuality as a choice, because I simply am not aroused in any sexual way by men.

Either you are...or you are using the "it is a choice" nonsense as a hypocrite.

You decide.

You most assuredly ARE displaying the symptoms you mentioned, Romeo. I guess another typical trait is the inability to see that it is happening. And you are obsessing about it...which might be yet another trait.

Anyway...I did not imply you are bisexual

1- I've already said you're NOT on my Losers List mate because my judgement of your character is that you don't deserve to be added to it at the moment, or have I judged your character wrongly?
2- Okay you now say you DIDN'T imply I'm bisexual, so let's put it down to just a mutual misunderstanding and let it go..Smile

You should really try harder, Frank. Romeo's $%&*t list is truly a badge of honor to which only I of all a2kers have so far attained. I would be pleased and humbled by your inclusion, old friend.

In spite of the fact that you are a cantankerous old geezer. Laughing

BTW, take note of the fact that profanity is not required.
