I built a detached garage 30 x 30 and around 100 foot from my home. ( needed wife buffer ) my question is what is the Receptical required height off the floor per code ?
Someone told me that it's 42" but, I'm not sure.

@DennyS,
For detached residential where power is run to the building the only requirement I know of is for the GFCI protection of the 15 and 20 amp 120V receptacles. Usually the receptacles are above your work bench although they do not have to be. In commercial garages where there is no ventilation (4 air changes per hr) the receptacles need to be at least 18" above the floor. In my work-shop I have them at 24" above the floor and above my work bench. I didn't see anything about height in Article 406, the NEC.
