The ACC and SEC met for the first round with Clemson clubbing Georgia(6)
Johnny Manziel(Texas A&M) came in at the start of the second half and continued where he left off last year(Heisman)
Their opponent Rice were ribbing him about the scandal involving paid autographs so "Johnny Football" started making "lucre" motions with his fingers and coach pulled him out.
Alabama rolled. Maybe they'll get their third championship in a row. Never been done before in the BCS era.

This is the last year before they have a 4-team play-off, right?
Six, yes six, FBS schools lost their season opener to an FCS team, including No. 25 Oregon State, which was upset by Eastern Washington. It was the first time a ranked FBS program had lost to an FCS school since 2010.
Blame North Dakota State for empowering its FCS brethren. The Bison knocked off Kansas State in dramatic fashion on Friday and gave hope to the rest of the little guys on Saturday. Then the dominoes started falling. Towson beat Connecticut. South Florida was manhandled by McNeese State. Iowa State fell to Northern Iowa and San Diego State to Eastern Illinois.
And...I read where these 'powerhouses' pay a fee of between $250k and $450k for the privilege of having their asses handed to them by these cinderfellas. I love when no-namers shock the talking-heads of media

Top 20 rankings and yes Clemson got a big jump with a win over Georgia.
I'm getting re-interested in college football. Used to be nuts about it decades ago, but that wained.
This article rekindles some interest for me, not least that UCLA will be playing New Mexico State in a few hours at the Rose Bowl. I hope and assume they'll win, but I'll leave a little room in my heart for NMState not being totally annihilated.
The game to watch next week will be #6 FSU @ #3 Clemson.
Florida State drubbed a Top-25 team last week 63-0. I'd they have a realistic shot at the national title this year for the first time in ages. Can someone outside the SEC finally win?
..and the SEC really showed how overrated they are today. No defense around the conference, and teams that were called "bottom feeders of the SEC" just a few weeks ago beat ranked teams. Maybe, just maybe, the polls will recognize that the SEC is not all that good this year. But I doubt it.

@panzade,
Well, don't bet the house on Oregon this year.
It's Stanford 14 Oregon 0 close to halftime, and the Cardinal is threatening again.
Good...
Florida St. may get a chance to play for the title this year after all.
Indeed. As a Florida State fan I rejoice.
That was an inspiring game.
A bunch of academic wizards beat a much better team with guts and heart.
Stanford was amazing. And for the second year in a row?
