outlook express locks up when clicking on a link

I am using outlook express 6 and when a link in the preview pane is clicked on the OE6 locks up and I have to use the Crtl-Alt-Del combination to close it and start over. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Can you copy the link and click on it outside of outlook express?

Yes, if is available, but no if is an ad or something with a picture to click on.
