Recently one of my men cut a wire in the wall going to the Air Conditioning unit. When he did that the main breaker blew, the breaker that was hooked to the Air Conditioning unit did not even blow and I was wondering why the main blew and not the breaker that the unit was hooked to. Thanks Bill

Was the wire cut between the main panel and the AC breaker, or between the AC breaker and the AC unit?
