Were talkin' hokey her, huh?
Isn't that the game where everbody dresses up in football pads, and zips around a white floor on roller skates, tryin' to alter one another's dental work?
That would be a treasonous statement, punishable by death, for a Canajun, eh?
fortunately Set, we don't permit the death penalty here in enlightened Canada; now a broken neck, heck that's just part of the game, eh!
No hockey for me (but I have to point out that the Bruins are playing Montreal in the first round). I'm happy sports-wise, though: Opening Day was yesterday, & the home opener is Friday at 3pm. GO SOX!
does Oddawad have a baseball team? noooooooooooooooo

OTTAWA LYNX
free hotdog day! gotta check that out
ehBeth wrote:free hotdog day! gotta check that out
er, aren't 'all' days free; when i get up in the morning, nobody asks me for a fee!
you tryin' to tell us yer a hotdog?
This is a perfectly good Make Fun of Ottawa thread and I encourage all to participate now, while the getting's good.
In no short order we might have to bear the humiliation of a Make Fun of Toronto thread (shudder), but I think that chance is remote in the extreme, due to the puff pastry type maneuvering of their goalies. We will, I dare say, make toast of 'em.
A red sticker to Beth for her Oddawad comment.
GO LEAFS GO!

i will refrain from classifying my various 'parts' on a temperature scale!
i was merely alluding to the proficiency of the "wa,wa"
Senators as being similar to 'overheated dogs on ice' (with three skates each)!
hey gang;
maybe before the game tonight we should arrange to have all the Senators team march up Yonge St. bearing crosses, with crowns of thorns on thier heads;
you know, to make it nice and 'Eastery'!!!
[we'll break their 'eggs' later
]
and here i sit, miles closer to the Rideau Canal than to the Don River. What to do. What to do?
no question; rush over to Corel Centre, and pick up tickets so you can watch the upcoming 'ritual slaughter'!!
AND THE CROWD WENT WILD!!!!
It's insufferable.
