Check the extension on the image. Usually, they're .jpg, .gif, .png. Those should be fairly universal, so let's eliminate that as a possible cause.

I have the same problem. If I attach any jpg picture files to an e-mail in Outlook Express, the recipient tells me it can't be opened. However, if I check the e-mail in the SENT ITEMS folder, I can click on the file and it will open using Windows Picture Manager. I suspect that the recipients must all have some form of blocking turned on, thus preventing them from opening the file(s). Can anyone please throw some light on this phenomenon?
