@joefromchicago,
I don't like your looks, joefromchicago (if that is your real name).

Can I sue you?

I've always thought Joe's avatar was Mayor Daley.

I've always thought your avatar was Arnold Schwartzeneggerhassenfeffer.

Am I wrong?

@Frank Apisa,
Howdy, Frank.

Joe's avatar is some chubby guy in a Fez.

Mine is me ... it's a "selfie."

I'm going to sue the lot of you for impersonating legitimate posters and getting me even more confused than I am already. But, in all fairness, I must admit that's quite an achievement. Laughing

But there is no contract. Will he win the case?

@Loh Jane,
Reliable testimony = evidence.

Also, research these phrases: "statute of frauds" and "quantum meruit".

@Loh Jane,
There is an oral contract, at least in the US. Don't know about Singapore. Oral contracts can be difficult to enforce, of course, but they are contracts.

This difficulty led Samuel Goldwyn to remark that "A verbal contract isn't worth the paper it's written on.

Sam was under the impression that 'verbal' was the same as 'oral'. My understanding is that a verbal contract is either written or oral.
