What is the difference between the usage of the adjectives in the two examples ??
a) She is more beautiful than ever!
b) The wind was stronger than ever!
Help please.

Stronger is the comparative form of strong. There is no comparative form of beautiful, so "more beautiful" is used.

If you think about it, the simple 'er' comparative suffix works for one and two-syllable words but not for words of three or more syllables.
